The UAE has been a dedicated advocate of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, introducing the ‘SDGs in Action’ platform at the World Government Summit. This initiative underscores the importance of global cooperation to achieve the 17 SDGs and acts as a catalyst for sharing best practices, laying future-oriented foundations, and forging bilateral and multilateral partnerships.
Since its launch in 2016, ‘SDGs in Action’ has driven innovation and progress toward the Global Goals. The platform has introduced key initiatives, such as the Global Councils on SDGs, an interdisciplinary network of leaders and youth. In recent years, it has also established Ministerial Roundtables to discuss and shape the foundational work for future global development agendas beyond 2030.
